Ministry Description
The Christian Education and Leadership Development Commission is charged with planning, promoting and coordinating Christian education programs that promote the strengthening and integral growth of adults, youth and children who are members of our churches and affiliated organizations. The objectives of this commission are the following:
Formulate a general and comprehensive program of Christian education and guide the churches in its development;
Prepare and recommend literature, materials and other resources for the educational program in the churches;
To promote the enrichment of worship in churches through creative use of the arts and resources of Christian tradition;
Promote and organize institutes, conferences, retreats and other activities of an educational and recreational nature;
To advise and guide churches in the organization, administration and supervision of Bible schools, summer schools and other related activities;
Promote the establishment of scholarships and other types of assistance for lay leaders in order to encourage them to pursue studies in specialized subjects in areas of interest to the Baptist Churches of Puerto Rico;
To promote Christian vocations through its educational activities, and
To establish general guidelines related to the use and programming that should be developed in the conference fields of the Baptist Churches of Puerto Rico.
